What is the hydrolytic enzyme?

The Hydrolytic®️ Enzyme has profound effects on the skin by deactivating viruses and fungi while keeping the skin’s natural microbiota balanced and thriving. Our Hydrolytic®️ Enzyme is designed to strengthen your skin's natural defences and support the skin cycle.

Additionally, it is a targeted exfoliant that gently removes only the dead cells from the skin surface. This activates the skin's natural renewal process, creating new cells at the base of the epidermis which move upwards to reinforce the skin barrier.

This process also empowers other ingredients to reach deeper layers of the skin subsequently reducing redness and hydrating deeply - leaving the skin smooth, fresh, and radiant.

The hydrolytic enzyme has four key functions:

Microbiome Rebalance

The Hydrolytic Enzyme restores the skin's microbiome while deactivating excess microbes like viruses, bacteria, and fungi on the skin's surface. This addresses imbalances contributing to skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis and acne.

Hydration

The Hydrolytic Enzyme deeply hydrates the skin by stimulating the skin’s natural production of hyaluronic acid and collagen. This results in nourished and radiant skin throughout the day and gives your skin a glowy and dewy look.

Performance Booster

The Hydrolytic Enzyme increases the efficacy of other active ingredients in our skincare products such as peptides, collagen, and hyaluronic acid. It maximizes the benefits derived from each product, delivering visible improvements.

Exfoliation

The Hydrolytic Enzyme is a mild exfoliant that gently removes dead cells from the skin surface, leaving the skin smooth, fresh, and radiant.

How it works

Epidermis
The epidermis is the outermost layer of the skin, serving as a protective shield for the body and helping to retain moisture within the deeper skin layers. External factors such as soaps and harsh chemicals can break down the skin's barrier to expose the skin to more elements.

Dermis
Beneath the epidermis lies the dermis, which houses essential proteins known as elastin and collagen. Over time, the natural degradation of these proteins can lead to a reduction in skin elasticity and the onset of signs associated with aging.

Epidermis
When a few drops of our Hydrolytic®️ products are applied, they create a silky film on the skin's surface. This film provides immediate hydration to the outermost epidermal layer. The enzyme's exfoliating properties gently remove dead skin cells from the epidermis. This process activates the natural rejuvenation mechanism within the epidermis, leaving your skin smoother, fresher, and more radiant, ready to take on the elements.

Dermis
The enzyme not only helps hydrates the epidermis but also penetrates deeper, reaching the dermal layer. By nourishing the dermis from the outside, it contributes to the overall hydration and health of this deeper skin layer stimulating collagen and elastin regeneration.
