So now that you have a better sense of what fjör is here to achieve, and why this is such a personal endeavour, let’s take a more macro view on why we’ve tapped into the Nordic skincare philosophy.
I hope most of us have finally concluded that the 10-step Korean skincare isn’t necessary to achieve great skin. Not at all. Instead, let’s talk simple. Nordic minimalism type simple. Where you focus on fewer skincare products, but products with maximum efficacy to achieve hydrated, balanced, and moisturized skin. We’re talking about a lean machine (4+1): cleanser, serum, eye cream, and moisturizer (and sunblock).
Fewer steps, but better ingredients = more power and happier skin.
Nordic skincare philosophy looks at having a more simplified ingredients list that isn’t only easier and quicker to handle in the mornings, nights and on the go alike, but it’s result-oriented. Having said that, the following are the important parameters of the Nordic skincare regime:
- Gentle Skincare Products: perfume-free skincare products with simplified formulations (it shouldn’t read like a CVS receipt), clean, and high-quality ingredients. Always read the ingredient list, and if you don’t know what something is? Google it!
- Skin Microbiota: Think of the natural healthy bacteria living on your face. Being more mindful of your microbiota will improve the skin’s health and will address wrinkles, acne, redness, dryness, and other possible skin irritations.
- Streamlined Skincare Regime: Less is always more. Exposing your skin to hundreds of different chemicals in a shopping list of skincare steps can overwhelm the skin and stress the microbiota.
The Nordic skincare regime is all about limited skincare products, so your skin thrives. Plus, the elimination of harsh ingredients will result in hydrated and nourished skin. Stay tuned for our restock information by signing up for the newsletter here.
